What you see below is a broken pipe under a foundation that we found this morning. The previous owner probably did not know it was broken and had they sold the house on the open market – the buyer would never have known. In a year, this would have created a big mess and a foundation issue.
This is a pipe under a slab foundation on a house we are renovating in Tyler, TX. Once we performed a pressure test that failed, we tunneled under the house and found this decayed and leaking pipe.
This is the finished product. It may be forever hidden and buried under the house foundation, but we have new pipe that will last the lifetime of the house.
